CFS service and install Fire Alarm Systems, Aspirating Systems, Portable Extinguishers, Fire Suppressant Systems, Diesel/Electrical/Jockey Pumps, Dry/Wet Risers, Hydrants, Emulsifier Fire Deluge Systems, Sprinkle Systems, Gas Detection Systems and Water Mist Systems.
We provide dedicated ‘SC cleared’ in-house resources for Scottish Power, 24hours a day, 365 days a year, including a dedicated Account Manager, Contract Administrator, Technical Helpdesk access and a team of specialist engineers, all supported by our Head Office teams from Operations to HR.
Fully compliant with BAFE, BS EN and NSI Fire Gold, our Engineers also provide specialist product support to Scottish Power, through specific manufacturer training certifications including brands such as VESDA, Menvier, Kentec, Minerva, Gent, Menvier (conventional), Advance, Kidde, Morley, Newlec, ADT MX, Protec, Notifier, Thorn, Ziton, Chubb and Haes.
Scottish Power were looking for a contractor with the ability to tackle a number of unique and challenging aspects of their service delivery requirements. Their widely geographically dispersed, high profile sites required a national service provision with a maximum 4-hour response time to any call out request. These environments all presented their own set of unique health and safety requirements, which had to be assessed and understood before CFS could begin work. Our expert team also developed a bespoke framework for Scottish Power to demonstrate appropriate contingency plans were in place to cover resource gaps and emergencies.
CFS manages the account from our office in East Kilbride and is overseen by Clarke Donnelly, a highly experienced Account Manager. Our focus is to maintain a high quality, competitive, flexible and innovative approach to contract delivery. We have an established business support unit to manage the provision of our equipment, vehicles, IT and telecommunications for our network of management and mobile engineering employees.
Throughout the relationship, CFS has delivered projects with a value in excess of three quarters of a million pounds for the estate, covering fire system installation including deluge protection and the provision of flame detection within the Turbine Hall at Longannet. Following a major fire at their Shoreham Power Station, CFS were also able to provide immediate disaster recovery services to Scottish Power, working through the night to restore business critical assets and minimise disruption.
